LOGITECH Z523

LOGITECH Z523:
First Features:
----360 Sound: The speakers project sound evenly in all directions so you enjoy crisp, detailed sound from any angle in the room.

----Bottom-firing subwoofer: A subwoofer with a 16.5 cm transducer that emits good bass for deep bass that feel.

----Two auxiliary inputs: an RCA jack and a 3.5 mm auxiliary input facilitates connection to a network music player Logitech Squeezebox, gaming console, DVD player or iPod.

----40 watts (RMS) of power: Enough power for dynamic surround sound and energetic.

----Speaker Convenient controls: Power, volume and headphone jack for private listening at your fingertips.

-Logitech has a good quality product at an affordable price. The Z523 speakers and subwoofer are no exception.

-Comparing the Logitech Speaker System Z523 with its range can state that offers higher performance. As for quality, I think it's great.

-This is a good speaker system for those not wanting to spend a lot of money on it but who are interested in quality, good sound and various functions.

-The speaker system Logitech Z523 makes a great sound and very good bass. All this thanks to 360-degree sound system incorporating the satellite speakers and subwoofer with its lower output, all powered by 40-watt amplifier that includes a subwoofer.
In relation to the sound 360 degrees as achieve this effect the second satellite speakers incorporate a rear audio output to emit sound which also to provide a rear surround sound.

-This feature can be seen in small rooms or medium sized, though, do not get your way if they are placed in very large rooms. The rear output of the satellite speakers have a problem and is put back when attached to a wall, so you have to consider where to place them. It is much appreciated, so are great for music, movies, video games, etc.. but it would be a problem if you need a sound system perfect for any recording or similar.

-As for the bass, the truth is that they are very good, and provide great sound impact. Furthermore, we can regulate them, so we can adapt the low type of music we listen or type of sound, while our preferences.

-I would not buy me one, but I recommend that you do not want to spend much money.

Logitech Z-623

Logitech Z-623:
-The sound is deep and rich, and it have a 'three-dimensional' sound.

-Is not a bad system, but the Z2300 is a more good sistem. The design of the speakers are horrible, specially the subwoofer, but they're well built.

-The subwoofer is not good, but it do a good job of bass.

-The satellites compliment it perfectly, but are more bigs and and takes up much space on the table.

-If there's a slight niggle, it's that Logitech has elected to use the same connection system it uses on its lower-end speakers. The right satellite houses the power, volume and bass controls, and it connects to the sub-woofer via a proprietary VGA-style cable. The left speaker simply connects to the sub with a phono plug.

-The system evidently works, and having power control on the desktop saves you having to lean over to a hidden sub to turn them on – and it's exactly the same system you'll find on Logitech's 15eur speakers.

-They have THX certification.

-This speakers of Logitech are incorrectly builded, what happened Logitech?

Logitech X-530:
-Although not perfect, Logitech X-530 speakers have generally excellent sound quality at a low price.

-The X-530, the subwoofer and satellites, are almost identical to the X-230, which is a 2.1. Exceptionally, the front right satellite acts as the volume controller.

-The inputs of cable connections 5.1 and audiocables of satellites, are on the subwoofer. The headphone jack and volume controls are located on the right satellite, but the bass control is located on the back of the subwoofer and can be difficult to achieve it. What I do not like is that there is no treble controls.

-The bass is very good in most movies. Adjusting the bass using the dial on the subwoofer produces a more bass in movies. The midrange is crisp and clear.

-High-pitched details were sometimes lost or a little subdued, but this was made up for by the immersive and convincing surround sound effect.

-I was also impressed with the X-530's sound quality when playing music. Bass music are satisfyingly full and rumbling, sounding a little richer and deeper than the already impressive bass on the 2.1 X-230. Orchestral music, as well as jazz and blues pieces, sounded warm, rich and detailed with no hint of distortion. Vocals and instruments in pop and electronic music sounded clear and generally well-balanced.

-I have two same models, and I can say it's a good/medium 5.1 pc/dvd stereo.

-The X-530 may be Logitech's cheapest PC surround sound set. It's not quite perfect and the bass control could be more conveniently located.

-You can spend a little more, and you can buy a Genius sw-6000, is the 5.1 maded of wood and 200w of power. It has its drawbacks, but is good.

The price of:
                                                   - Logitech X-530 is 40/60 €
                                                   -  Genius sw-6000 is 80/110 €

Genius sw-6000:
-Its a stereo surround 5.1 speaker sistem made entirely of wood.

-The 6000, the subwoofer and satellites, are almost (are not all similar) identical to the sw-5050v2. Exceptionally, the subwoofer acts as the volume controller and decoder.
-The inputs of cable connections 5.1 and audiocables of satellites, are on the subwoofer.

-The bass is very good in most movies and music included. Adjusting the volume of the each speaker in remote control is a great idea, but it not save the settings when you off it. And worst of all, it hasn´t got off button in a remote control. You turn off it, in the button which is located behind the subwoofer - worst idea!
-I was also impressed with the 6000's sound quality when playing bass music.

-Good sistem, I like the wood, because you listen to music/movie with nature!

-I was impressed with their 200w of power! But what I hate, is its LED screen in a blue color - it looks horrible!

-The subwoofer has got 100w of power, similar to Logitech Z-2300. The 5 satellites has 20w - I was not very impressed - and the are very short cables.

-How should the next 5.1 of Genius speakers are:
                                         - at least 500w of power:  -200w suboofer
                                                                                     -50w x 4 satellites
                                                                                     -100w center
                                         - long cables
                                         - good controller:  - the LED screen, ok, but turns off after                                                                            pressing a button
                                                                         - remembers the settings
                                         - power button in the remote control
                                         - optical input ( is very important in today's day )
                                         - the subwoofer box could be a little bigger (many people like the bass)
            - In sumary: the new model would be more expensive, but would increase the interests of buy of the company Genius.

-When Logitech introduced the Z-2300 way back in 2004, it was a THX certified premium quality top of the range product.

-The Logitech engineers in the lab where given a clear goal i.e. to create the best 2.1 multimedia speaker system for the computers.

-They were not concerned about the price, they were more concerned about the performance & quality which lead in using premium quality components, be it electronic components, speakers used, wooden casings of the subwoofers, plastic casings of the satellites and even the wires used to connect the components.

-Price was never an issue, performance was. This single mindedness of the engineers produced a unique product, and Z-2300 was born.

-If you consider that way back in the year 2000 when Logitech was known as a cheap speaker manufacturer , they made a huge effort back then in order to make a big step forward and used better quality components for their THX certified audio system lineup than they have ever done before thus increasing cost.

-The subwoofer is huge, in every sense of the word.

-Z-2300 subwoofer has a front facing massive 8 inch long throw bass driver. It has a Rated Power Input of 80W and maximum power input capability of 160W.

-The satellites ranging from 150Hz to 20kHz and 20W to 40W.

-The control pod of the Z-2300 is quite simple and minimalistic, which I prefer. No fancy lights just a big volume knob, a bass control, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, power LED and a power button. You can keep the control pod on your desk where ever you like and the controls are very convenient.

-In my opinion they are very good 2.1 speaker, because I have one Logitech Z-2300,
and it sounds so loud that the neighbors are very happy!!! - I leave some videos of my logitech:

This 5.1 channel home cinema surround speakers sistem, is a great audio for PC or TV.

It’s equally at home in an AV environment thanks to its generous range of connections and features:
                - THX certification,
                - Stereo 3D, 4.1 and 2.1 modes,
                - and a greats 500 watts of power.

The identical front, rear an center satellites have inelegant bodywork, the body is not wood, is plastic, the subwoofer is not 10 inches, is 8 inches, and much more.

The subwoofer is small, but is very practical, which shouldn’t pose major problems, whether you’re shoving it under a desk or behind the TV, and is styled to match the satellites. Is equipped with audio decoders, a 165W amplifier and all of the system’s connections.

These include three digital audio inputs (two optical and one coaxial), which will come in handy if you want to connect multiple sources simultaneously (a DVD or Blu-ray player and games console for instance). There’s also a six-channel direct input for connecting PCs, an analogue stereo input and a 3.5mm input for MP3 players.

It’s a shame there are no HDMI inputs or HD audio decoding, which would have made this more suitable for use with Blu-ray players and games consoles.

In summary: is a good audio sistem, but is small, expensive, and these hasn´t got 500w of power.

This is a big speaker sistem of logitech:

What??? Logitech??? I feel, I cant hear you!!!

                                   - I think, what is this! But these speakers Logitech z-5500 speakers are a good compromise between a full AV receiver and speakers and standard PC speakers. It's the only PC speaker set. And here that has optical, coaxial and three analogue mini-jack inputs.

All the inputs are on the back of the small control unit, the front of which is dominated by a huge volume control and small LCD panel. A basic remote control is provided, which is all that's necessary.

The control unit connects to the subwoofer and amplifier unit with a 2m cable. The subwoofer unit is very heavy and capable of the most impressive bass effects in the group. The satellites connect to the subwoofer unit.

The speakers sound very bright and the subwoofer is superb.

Logitech has produced an excellent-value, superb surround-sound speaker kit. The Z-5500 has built in support and decoding for Dolby Digital and DTS soundtracks, but this is the best-sounding and most capable of the PC speaker sets and does a great job between PC and home cinema audio.

COME BACK LOGITECH Z-5500, PLEASE!!!
